Blueslake 2015

welcome all to blueslake 2015 we wish you all the best and hope you have a lovely time and the rods produce the fish of a lifetime.

For the old hands that have been many times you all know the score regards turning up and leaving the lake for those new to blueslake please read the information that i send through for times etc it helps us all when preparing the lake for the next anglers.

There have been a couple of changes at the lake-- one being the banning of nuts this year, the reason for this was over use by certain anglers so had no choice but to stop it -- however we will allow at this moment nuts for hookbaits only -- so please keep to the rules and no sneaking freebies out into the lake-- break the rules leave the lake -- simple. The second is swim two--- we have decided that anglers or their guests who may be physically disabled will have priority on this swim due to its location to the toilets and kitchen area. This is a single swim so one angler only.

BLUES 2013

Well thought it was about time i tackled this page instead of just the face book page. The year started in stark contrast to the year before, 2012 march hot sunny and in a tee shirt, march 2013 -10 to -15 that was cold. spent two days just defrosting the water system. As most of you are aware the new showers are all up and running, a couple of teething problems to start but all okay now and being very well recieved, actualy better shower than mine at home. This year we have created gravel spots in the lakes, over 30t of gravel was split between blues1 and blues2 so should provide additional features to the lake, i will be looking for next year to either increase these areas and also add some more lilly pads around the lakes.

The fishing started off a bit slow but hardly surprising considering the weather, we must have been at least a month behind if not more, but the lads were great and understood that these were strange times, even now the fish are up and down but thankfully the fish that are coming out are looking great and are good sizes. The spawning in 2012 happened on may the 19th this year we are still not sure and we are the middle of june, our bailiffs tell us that there has been the evidence of spawning but not the usual fish chasing and spectical that goes with it ---- so at a loss at the moment.

So fishes, well we have had carp to 62lb so far but where is the big one hiding? hopefully waiting for me in september, actually i have been really please with the catches with a good head of 40lb plus each week and 50lb plus ones also gracing the bank, we have had a few that are the top end of the 50lb so it wont be long before they are in the 60lb club.

Blues2 has been popular this year- i think the price helps--- this lake has been the same weeks of great catches then all of a sudden catches come down not sure why suppose that is carp fishing, with the size of the lake and the amount of fish that were stocked and previous stockings they should be crawling up the bank but it has been a struggle on a few accasions. I am sure this year we will see a 50lb+ come out or at least one close to that.

This year we are trying for the first time of suppying bait at the lake, mostly particle baits so if you want the prices mail me and i will send them on, they are proving to be popular so may well carry on for next year.
